Rodrigues Tile Company was the vision of Peter Rodrigues Jr. In 1972 he began the company. From the time Ken was 11 years old he would often accompany his dad on jobs – during summer months and school breaks. In 1979 Ken began his ‘official’ apprenticeship with the tile trade. In January 1984 Pete and his wife Arlene left for China as missionaries. Ken was trained and ready by that point to take over the leadership of Rodrigues Tile. All 6 of Ken’s children have worked at various times on various projects with him. Rodrigues Tile is a throwback to the quality craftsmanship that was the norm back in the 1970’s but has given way to the ‘mass production’ that is common now in construction. With their experience, integrity and quality workmanship you will receive an excellent result for your project.
Our new logo comes from the heart of Rodrigues Tile. The mountains represent the heart of the East Bay, our main service area. From our home looking at Mission Peak to the south of Mount Hamilton back up north to Mount Diablo. Arrows are from a scripture Psalms 127:4 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. Ken and his wife have been blessed with a full quiver. All of 6 of their children have helped on various tile projects. Finally our logo bookended by two pieces of tile.
